Measurement tips

Make sure that all samples are dry: If your core needs to be wet to see the detail, mark the area of interest while wet and then let the core dry before measuring. BUT Make sure that the pen/texta mark does not get in the way of measurement, as the ink has its own features.

On Site Mineral Mapping

AusSpec hires out PIMA or ASD spectrometers to clients with trained personnel for field or office based data collection. Our trained operators provide clients with a facility for on-site mineral mapping. All on site programs of activity are supported by field based spectrometers either PIMA or ASD.

Spectrometer Hire

AusSpec hires out PIMA or ASD spectrometers to clients for field or office based data collection. Clients can carry out their own interpretation and analysis or can use AusSpec to analyse and report on the data.

Instruments are available for short and long term (> 4 months) hire. Special rates are available for long term hire.

Requirements

When hiring equipment with no operator, clients need to be familiar with operation of the spectrometer. However, in the case of the PIMA, instruction can be made over the phone with no prior experience.

Clients are requested to insure any spectrometer on hire.
