Applications of Spectral Geology

Spectral geology is a means of getting mineral information from samples rapidly and cost effectively. This means that you can  now get far more comprehensive information on the alteration mineral assemblages in your project area and map specific variations more accurately and objectively.

Once the information is obtained it can be presented in geologically meaningful ways allowing you to easily create maps or sections of:

  • Alteration zoning
  • Changes in mineral proportions
  • Mineral occurrence
  • Mineral composition and/or crystallinity

The data handling methods used and taught by AusSpec allow all users to quickly get to using the mineralogical information effectively in their exploration projects.

Most importantly - you don't have to become a mineralogist or a spectral expert to understand and use the information available.
