Data Integration

The integration of spectral and geochemical data allows relationships between target mineralisation and the spectral characteristics of the alteration to be investigated.

Specifically, where a series of spatially related samples are measured a series of digital values (digital mineralogy) can be produced to represent important mineral variations (such as mineral species, crystallinity and composition) within the data set (sample series). These data are easy to handle and in a useful format that can be treated in a similar way to geochemical data and be gridded, contoured and entered into exploration software.

This integrated method of data analysis provides a way of analysing relationships between spectra and geological/ geochemical data that would be impossible to obtain efficiently using other methods.
